Willow House Wednesdays: Shop Your Yard

We had a team meeting at our Senior Director's home last week. She and her husband are in retirement and their home is surrounded by lush gardens. She always has fresh cuttings in our products when we meet there. They are always simple but beautiful.

I want to share a few ideas from the last meeting and hopefully inspire you to think a little differently about adding simple touches to your home by shopping your yard.

In the pitcher are a few hydrangea cuttings. To add height and fullness, she added greenery clippings. The vases are mostly filled with greenery and one simple bloom.

Here she fills an urn with more greenery cuttings. I wish I knew the name of this specific greenery. You could also accomplish the same look with nandina bush clippings.

Here she has featured dried cuttings from the yard, specifically, a dried hydrangea bloom and a bundle of dried grass. Simple. Beautiful.
