I am participating in Today's Thrifty Treasures hosted by Rhoda over at Southern Hospitality! I am not that great when it comes to yard sales because quite frankly they are usually picked over before I roll myself out of the bed and I am a bit of a recovering germ-a-phobe. Can I get a witness? BUT these gals make it look so fun and rewarding. I really need to give it a try - maybe in the fall.
For now I will resort to my thrifty ways and that is getting a great deal at the stores. My favorite local shop is Park Hill Home. It is in a quaint historic home in the Park Hill neighborhood and I could easily move in there. Imagine how excited I was when I drove by on {late} Saturday morning and saw they were having a sidewalk sale!!! I had to restrain myself for sure. I spent only $28 including taxes and here's my loot...

And I picked up this pillow for $5. The lighting doesn't do it justice in this pic.

Your urn is awesome! How large is it? You really need to get to some sales!!! Just carry your bottle of germ hand cleaner! LOL I Do!!! It's fun and I only just started doing it. Like the old commercial with Mikey said, "try it you'll like it!"
